Magomed Ankalaev scored a unanimous decision victory over Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 313 to become the new light heavyweight champion. Ankalaev was pressuring Pereira for the majority of the bout and making it difficult for Pereira to land any of his trademark shots. Ankalaev even managed to hurt Pereira at the end of the second round. In 25 minutes of action, Ankalaev landed 94 significant strikes. With the win, he improves to 21-1-1 with one NC as a pro and is 12-1-1 with one NC in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic
