2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion) has cleared the league's concussion protocol ahead of the Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. It appears Doubs is ready to go after missing each of the two weeks due to a concussion. Doubs hasn't been a great fantasy option lately with four or less receptions in each of his last four games. He does have a plus matchup against the Seahawks secondary this weekend, but is more of a flex option than anything else for Week 15.Source: Adam Schefter
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) practiced for the second straight day on Thursday. The Packers officially opened Musgrave's 21-day practice window on Wednesday to return from Injured Reserve. He was listed as limited on Wednesday and will likely get the same designation on Thursday. The 24-year-old will be eligible to come off IR this weekend to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night, but the Packers will make that decision on Saturday. Even if Musgrave returns to the field in Week 15, he'll likely be on a pitch count after not playing since Week 4. Before his injury, Musgrave was the clear TE2 in Green Bay behind Tucker Kraft, too, catching only five of his seven targets for 22 yards and no touchdowns in four games played. Musgrave should remain on the waiver wire in standard-sized fantasy leagues.Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion) was at practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Doubs was listed as a full participant on Wednesday, although head coach Matt LaFleur said he's still working through the league's concussion protocol. The 24-year-old pass-catcher suffered a concussion in the Week 12 win over the San Francisco 49ers and hasn't played since, but a full practice on Wednesday suggests he's well on his way to clearing the concussion protocol and playing on Sunday night against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. His return this weekend would take away valuable targets from fellow wideouts Jayden Reed, Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks. The third-year wideout only has two touchdowns on the year and has gone over 50 receiving yards in four of his 10 games in 2024. If Doubs is active against Seattle, he'll be a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex.Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion) was able to practice in full on Wednesday. "We're making progress but he's still in the protocol," LaFleur said. Doubs suffered a concussion in the Week 12 win over the San Francisco 49ers and has missed each of the last two games. Although he still needs to pass through the NFL's concussion protocol, he appears to be well on his way this week and could return to game action this Sunday night versus the Seattle Seahawks. We won't know more on the 24-year-old's Week 15 status until later in the week, and fantasy managers could be presented with a difficult decision if he's questionable to play on Sunday night. Doubs currently ranks fourth in receiving yards on the team with 483 and third in receptions (34) while scoring two touchdowns in 10 games. If he's active, he'll be a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex in fantasy.Source: Packers.com - Wes Hodkiewicz
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday after having his practice window opened to return from Injured Reserve. The 2023 second-round pick has not played since Week 4 after suffering an ankle injury that required surgery. The Packers will now have 21 days to activate him to the roster. Even if Musgrave returns before the regular season wraps up, he's unlikely to be on the fantasy football radar after the emergence of fellow second-year tight end Tucker Kraft. Kraft was playing more snaps than Musgrave before his injury, so we should expect that to continue into the late quarter of the season. So far this year, Musgrave has totaled just five receptions for 22 yards. That said, his usage will be worth monitoring, and he could make an impact in the NFL postseason. UPDATE: Musgrave was limited in Wednesday's practice.Source: Tom Silverstein
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed put up a donut for his fantasy managers in the Week 14 loss to the division-rival Detroit Lions last Thursday night, which was especially disappointing with Romeo Doubs (concussion) out. Head coach Matt LaFleur insinuated that the Packers will look to get Reed more involved moving forward with specific packages that make sure he touches the football. "Where we can be better, and I talked to Jayden about this, is just making sure we have some of those plays for him in the game plan where he's tagged to go in there and play wideout. Because he's certainly an impactful player," LaFleur said. Reed, one of the team's best playmakers, only played 50% of the snaps on Thursday and was targeted only once. The 24-year-old could get the squeaky-wheel treatment in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks, but he's been boom or bust for fantasy managers all year with one game all year with more than six targets.Source: NFL.com - Jason B. 2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks was solid but unspectacular in the Packers' 34-31 loss to the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions in Week 14. Wicks had extended playing time thanks to Romeo Doubs (concussion) being ruled out and was moderately productive, bringing in 4-of-5 targets for 49 receiving yards. Two of his receptions in back-to-back plays of 28 and 12 yards directly led to great field position where the Packers eventually settled for a game-tying field goal. The Packers will head west to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in Week 15 and if Doubs remains out, Wicks will be a low-end flex option for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft continued his fine fantasy season as he got into the end zone in the Packers' 34-31 loss to the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions in Week 14. Kraft caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jordan Love in the third quarter; his only touchdown pass of the night. With only 20 passing attempts, there wasn't much volume to be had by the Packers' pass-catchers, but Kraft reeled 3-of-5 targets for 41 yards. Next up for the Packers is a date with the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 where Kraft should be considered a low-end TE1 for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson posted his second 100-yard game in the last four contests as the Packers lost 34-31 to the Detroit Lions. Watson led the Packers with seven targets and caught four passes for 114 yards, pacing the Packers on the receiving end of things. After losing a fumble at the end of the first quarter, Watson made a few long catches, including a 59-yard reception in the third quarter. With Romeo Doubs (concussion) out for Week 14, Watson got some extended playing time and took advantage with a big game on not a ton of volume. Depending on the health of Doubs, Watson will once again be a boom-or-bust fantasy flex when the Packers head west to Seattle to face the Seahawks in Week 15.Source: ESPN
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs provided most of the Packers' scoring as he was a massive part of the game plan in their eventual 34-31 loss to the Detroit Lions. Jacobs was solid on the ground, piling up 66 yards on the ground on 18 rushing attempts, but he scored three times to highlight Jacobs' stellar performance. Pacing the Packers' offense as the closer to three of their four touchdown drives, Jacobs plunged in a one-yard score in the second quarter, a six-yard touchdown in the third quarter, and a four-yard plunge. Jacobs almost had a fourth touchdown through the air as well, if not for an offensive pass interference penalty. Week 14 was Jacobs' second three-touchdown game in the last three games, so Jacobs is clearly a must-start fantasy option at running back heading into Week 15's tilt against the Seattle Seahawks.Source: ESPN
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was a bit of a disappointment in the Packers' 34-31 last-second loss to the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions in Week 14. Love only had 20 pass attempts, completing 12-of-20 pass attempts for 206 yards and a single touchdown pass to Tucker Kraft in the beginning of the third quarter. On the ground, Love also added 23 yards on the ground, most of that coming from an eight-yard scramble in the first drive and then a 14-yard scramble in the second quarter. Without much in the way of passing volume, it would have taken extreme efficiency for Love to thrive from a fantasy perspective. He'll look to improve in Week 15, where he and the Packers will travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. Consider Love a back-end fantasy QB1 for that matchup.Source: ESPN
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was nowhere to be found in the Packers' 34-31 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 14. Coming into this matchup with the Lions, Reed was expected to have an excellent game against Detroit, who has been vulnerable as they have given up the most receiving yards to opposing slot wide receivers this season. All the Lions did was completely blank Reed from the stat sheet, as Reed only registered one target and reeled in zero catches on the night. Week 14's game was a disappointing outcome for Reed and the Packers, who only had only 24 dropbacks and just 20 pass attempts. The Packers will have a long week to think about this loss as they'll take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15, where Reed will be a volatile fantasy WR3 who will no doubt look to bounce back from this goose-egg.Source: ESPN
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers rookie safety Evan Williams (concussion) suffered a concussion on Thursday Night Football against the division-rival Detroit Lions and has been ruled out for the rest of the game. Williams suffered the concussion in the first half and will not be allowed to come back into the game in the second half. That will make things more difficult for the Packers' defense the rest of the way against one of the best offenses in football. Williams, who was a fourth-round pick this year, came into Thursday's game with 45 tackles (28 solo), an interception, three pass breakups and a forced fumble in his first 11 games (four starts). Javon Bullard will see more playing time for however long Williams remains out. The good news for Williams is he'll have extra time to try and clear the league's concussion protocol before Green Bay's next game on Dec. 15 against the Seattle Seahawks.Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers defensive back Jaire Alexander (knee) will miss his third straight outing in Week 14 when his team lines up against the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football. The seventh-year veteran picked up a knee ailment back in Week 9 that he's battled through since then. He was able to log limited sessions on Monday and Tuesday but was downgraded to a DNP on Wednesday before ultimately being ruled out for the matchup. Defensive back Carrington Valentine projects to continue filling in for the 27-year-old stalwart while he's shelved. With teammate Corey Ballentine (knee) also deemed out, the Pack will be a bit short in their defensive backfield for the divisional clash.Source: Green Bay Packers
