Pablo Lopez Pushed Back A Day
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez will not pitch in Monday's game against the Boston Red Sox as originally scheduled. The Marlins traveled from Pittsburgh to Boston for one game against the Red Sox to make up for an earlier rain out. Lopez flew to Miami instead, where he will get the ball to open a series against the Rockies on Tuesday. There is no injury concern here, according to manager Don Mattingly. The Marlins simply want to give Lopez an extra day of rest between starts, which is something they said they'd do on occasion before the season started. Lopez should be good to go on Tuesday and will be a solid fantasy option. Zach Thompson will get the start for the Marlins on Monday in what will end up being another bullpen game.
