Nolan Arenado Makes Risky Error
5 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado has continued to cruise this season, drilling 38 homers, knocking 110 RBI, scoring 95 runs, and playing Gold Glove defense for the most part. However, he made a slip-up on Wednesday that nearly cost Colorado the game. With a one-run lead and a runner on first in the top of the ninth, Arenado botched a throw to second for a force out, leaving men on first and second with nobody out. Fortunately, the next hitter grounded into an easy double play and Jairo Diaz was able to draw a line drive out to end the game without the run scoring. Arenado was fortunate his mistake didn't come back to bite him.
