According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, the NHLPA is expected to appeal David Perron's six-game suspension. The Red Wings winger was slapped with the suspension for cross-checking Ottawa's Artem Zub on Saturday. He served the first game of the punishment on Monday versus Dallas and will be eligible to return to action on Dec. 22 against Philadelphia. However, he could be back sooner if the Players' Association successfully appeals the suspension on Perron's behalf. The 35-year-old has struggled to perform up to his usual standards in 2023-24, averaging the fewest points since his rookie campaign. With 26 games played, he's notched seven goals and six assists.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
