Michael Wilson 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Not Much Upside In His Future
Michael Wilson is in a class of players you never want to have to start in any fantasy football leagues. The Cardinals are first and foremost a running team, and prefer to keep the ball on the ground whenever possible. In addition, both tight end Trey McBride and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. are firmly ahead of Wilson in the pecking order. Wilson isn't bad against zone coverage, but he's not great against man. In deeper leagues where every team's third option is worth taking, he will end up on some roster, but it's hard to trust him ever being in your starting lineup. He played in three more games in 2024 than he did in 2023, but recorded fewer receiving yards and nearly three less yards per reception. In a year where WRs are expected to break out and improve on their first season, Wilson did somewhat of the opposite. It's hard to imagine he'll get a contract extension, or have a good 2025 season that would make him worth drafting at any point in a normal-sized league.
