Jalin Hyatt Adds Weight Over the Offseason
Jalin Hyatt says he gained almost 20 pounds over the offseason and plans to play this season at 189-190 pounds. After playing at 171-172 pounds in 2024, Hyatt feels the added weight will help him improve his blocking and his ability to win contested catches, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. The third-year wide receiver has struggled to make a consistent impact so far in his NFL career. In 33 total games for the Giants, Hyatt has 31 catches for 435 yards and zero touchdowns. New York's top three receivers look pretty set heading into 2025, with Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton on the outside and Wan'Dale Robinson manning the slot. That leaves Hyatt competing with Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Zach Pascal, and Ihmir Smith-Marsette for a depth role.
