Michael Kesselring Expected to Make Season Debut Tuesday
Buffalo Sabres defenseman Michael Kesselring (lower body) is penciled in for his season debut on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. After recovering from a lower-body injury, Kesselring recently returned to practice, and if he avoids any setbacks during the morning skate on Tuesday, the Sabres blue line will get a nice extra piece. Last season, Kesselring played all 82 games with Utah, tallying 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists), 150 shots, 67 blocks, and 87 hits. Jacob Bryson (concussion) is also expected to be available against Columbus, giving Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff even more options in defense. Zach Metsa will definitely come out of the lineup on Tuesday after he was reassigned to the minors.
