Mets Acquire Tyler Rogers From Giants
Tyler Rogers from the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, a source tells The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal. The Mets will send right-handers Blade Tidwell and Jose Butto and outfielder Drew Gilbert to the Giants for Rogers. Rogers' brother, Taylor, was also traded on Wednesday from the Cincinnati Reds to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the deal involving third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes. It's a lot to give up for a 34-year-old submariner, but the Mets are looking to shore up the back end of their bullpen for the stretch run this year. Rogers has been very strong for the Gigantes in 2025 with a 4-3 record, 1.80 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 38 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched. He's been stingy in the run department, but with no strikeout upside and no clear path to saves in New York, he won't be on the fantasy radar.
