Mekhi Becton Has Lost Some Weight
1 year agoNew York Jets fourth-year offensive tackle Mekhi Becton, who has dealt with weight problems frequently in his time with the Jets, recently weighed in at around 340 pounds. Becton weighed in the 380-390 range in previous years, so this appears to be good news for the Jets offensive lineman heading into training camp this summer. He'll be competing with veteran Duane Brown for the starting left-tackle job while simultaneously competing with Max Mitchell and Billy Turner at right tackle. As long as Brown is healthy, he should win the left-tackle job, so Becton will essentially be competing at right tackle in training camp. The Jets' best offensive-line combination is one that has Becton involved, but he'll need to stay in shape to stay on the field.
