Mark Canha Over Gastritis Issues
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Mark Canha (stomach) was dealing with gastritis last year and was unable to keep weight on. "I was lighter last year at the beginning because I had trouble eating and feeling good," Canha said. His gastritis has subsided, though, and he's back to feeling healthy again. Canha's goal is to hit 10 more homers in 2023, and he's hoping the muscle mass he added in the offseason will help him accomplish that goal. The 34-year-old hit .266/.367/.403 with a .770 OPS, 13 home runs and 61 RBI in 140 games in his first year with the Mets in 2022. Better health is good news for those looking to draft Canha this year. He was already a great target in on-base percentage leagues, and hopefully his counting stats improve as well.
