Lucas Giolito To Throw Side Session Friday
6 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito (hamstring) threw 25 pitches on flat ground and used all of his pitches while feeling no pain in his hamstring on Tuesday. He will next move to a side session off the mound on Friday. The right-hander could make his return to the rotation sometime next week if he avoids setbacks. The 24-year-old had a rough 6.13 ERA in 32 starts last year in his first full big league season and continues to be inconsistent. He has a 5.30 ERA and 1.34 WHIP despite a career-high 11.1 K/9 in his four starts this year. Giolito will continue to be a risky and unpredictable fantasy streamer in deeper leagues.
