Logan Evans Tosses Career-High Eight Innings in Third Victory
Logan Evans tossed eight innings of one-run ball on Tuesday evening en route to picking up his third victory of the campaign, against the Washington Nationals. In this outing, Evans allowed just four hits and held a 4:1 K:BB. His lone blemish came on a solo shot by Washington outfielder James Wood, which was his 14th long ball of the campaign. Evans was promoted from Triple-A to fill a spot in the rotation with both Logan Gilbert (elbow) and Bryce Miller (elbow) on the injured list. Through his first 35 innings in Seattle, their No. 10-ranked prospect has posted an impressive 2.83 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP. He has struck out 25 batters and allowed 10 free passes. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he could be in danger of losing his spot in the rotation with Miller expected to return this weekend.
