Liam Hendriks Unlikely to Return This Season
Liam Hendriks (hip) will return this season, Tim Healey of the Boston Globe reports. Hendriks, who last pitched May 27, has been out for over two months with hip inflammation. The Red Sox signed the three-time All-Star to a two-year, $10 million contract before the 2024 season, but it appears that it will go down as a failed investment. Hendriks, 36, missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery and went 0-2 with a 6.59 ERA, a 1.39 WHIP, and 12:7 K:BB in 13 2/3 innings this year before suffering the hip injury.
