Kyle Freeland Injured In Thursday's Outing
5 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland (back) left his Cactus League start early on Thursday due to back spasms. On the bright side, Freeland felt positive about his reworked delivery on the mound. The left-hander allowed a solo home run through two innings and has gotten rid of a pause at the power position of his delivery. The injury doesn't seem very serious, and the Rockies consider Freeland day-to-day for now. The 26-year-old was a disaster in 2019, going 3-11 with a 6.73 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in 22 starts for the Rockies. It's interesting that he's tweaked his delivery, but fantasy owners in mixed leagues will want to see an improvement in his results before they think about plucking him off the waiver wire.
