Khalil Herbert Designated To Return From Injured Reserve
2 years agoThe Chicago Bears designated running back Khalil Herbert (hip) to return from Injured Reserve on Tuesday, opening his 21-day window to be officially activated from Injured Reserve. Herbert will return to practice on Tuesday and is fully expected to be activated to the active roster in time to play in Saturday's Week 16 game against the Buffalo Bills. The 24-year-old second-year back was one of the more productive rushers in the league before getting injured in Week 10, as he had 108 carries for 643 yards (6.0 yards per carry) and four touchdowns. Herbert also had six catches for 62 yards and another TD. His return will be a big upgrade for Chicago's offense, but he'll likely be eased back into the fold behind David Montgomery, who has scored on the ground in each of the last two contests.
