1 year agoThe Toronto Blue Jays activated outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (elbow) and right-hander Trevor Richards (neck) from the injured list on Friday and optioned outfielder Nathan Lukes and right-hander Jay Jackson to Triple-A Buffalo in corresponding moves. Kiermaier will immediately return to the starting lineup on Friday against Cincinnati Reds right-hander Brett Kennedy, playing center field and batting in the nine-hole. The 33-year-old veteran outfield spent the minimal time on the IL with a right-elbow laceration. Hopefully he'll be able to pick up where he left off in the second half of the season, as he's gone 15-for-51 (.294) with a homer, two doubles, eight RBI, a stolen base and seven runs scored in 21 games (16 starts) since the All-Star break. Kiermaier will have a low DFS ceiling on Friday in the nine-hole.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
