Justin Turner Sitting In Fourth-Straight Game
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner is on the bench again Sunday after injuring his hamstring in Wednesday's game. The Dodgers can afford to play it safe with the veteran as they carry considerable roster depth, and he should be able to avoid a trip to the IL. Max Muncy is taking over at the hot corner while Matt Beaty is getting the start at first base against Phillies right-hander Nick Pivetta. Turner is slashing .306/.392/.446 with six dingers and 25 RBI for LA this season proving to be a reliable contributor in most roto categories. Look for him to return to the lineup at some point when the Trolley Dodgers travel to take on the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Monday.
