Justin Steele To Start Saturday
1 year agoChicago Cubs left-hander Justin Steele's (forearm) bullpen session went well on Thursday, and he will come off the injured list to start on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles. Because Steele didn't require a minor-league rehab assignment, there's a good chance he'll be limited from a pitch-count perspective on Saturday in his first start in the big leagues since May 31, when he went only three innings against the Tampa Bay Rays. But the 27-year-old southpaw has been very good for Chicago in his 12 starts so far in 2023, going 6-2 with a 2.65 ERA (2.84 FIP), 1.06 WHIP, 16 walks and 58 strikeouts in 68 innings pitched. Steele will be a shaky DFS streamer, but fantasy managers should scoop him up off the waiver wire if he's available.
