Jose Urquidy Throws Another Bullpen Session
Jose Urquidy (elbow), who is recovering from UCL reconstruction, completed another bullpen session on Tuesday, according to MLive's Evan Woodbery. Urquidy also threw a bullpen last Thursday, but he still has a long ways to go in his rehab from a second Tommy John surgery and isn't expected to come back from the 60-day injured list until some point in the second half of the 2025 season. Urquidy could need a few more bullpen sessions before being cleared to eventually face live hitters, and he'll also require a lengthy minor-league rehab assignment. The 30-year-old won't be a realistic fantasy option, even in deeper leagues, after the All-Star break and won't even be guaranteed a starting role when he does return. Urquidy has gone 27-16 in his five-year MLB career (all with the Astros) with a 3.98 ERA (4.51 FIP), 1.43 WHIP and 326:97 K:BB in 405 innings.
