Atlanta Braves southpaw Jose Suarez (2-0) worked seven strong innings in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Washington Nationals. The 27-year-old struck out nine while allowing two runs on five hits and two walks, earning the victory. It was his first start of the season after three relief appearances for the Braves. Suarez now owns a 2.51 ERA and 1.19 WHIP as he continues to find his groove with his new team. This latest outing should spark optimistic conversations about his role on the pitching staff as he builds on his early success and proves he can handle a larger workload.--Julian Brooke
