Jose Altuve Returns To Lineup On Wednesday
1 year agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (knee) is right back in Wednesday's starting lineup against the Miami Marlins and left-hander Jesus Luzardo, playing second base and batting in his normal leadoff spot. Altuve gave his fantasy managers a scare on Tuesday when he fouled a ball off his left knee in his first at-bat of the game and had to be removed. Fortunately, the 33-year-old is only dealing with a contusion and is good to return to action the very next day. Fantasy managers will want to get him right back into their starting lineups, albeit in a tough matchup. Altuve has had an injury filled year (he has just 190 at-bats in 50 games), but the former MVP continues to produce when healthy, slashing .326/.424/.547 with a .971 OPS, nine homers, 28 RBI, 12 steals and 43 runs scored in his 224 trips to the plate.
