Jordan Walker Will Hit On Sunday
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfield prospect Jordan Walker (shoulder) said that he plans to hit on Sunday. "Yeah, I'm going to hit today. I'm not playing today, but I'm going to go to the cages to hit," Walker said. The 20-year-old suffered a strained right shoulder sliding into second base in the Grapefruit League game on Saturday, but he didn't need to undergo an MRI exam. He's expected to return to spring action after Monday's off day. Walker is the team's top prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and he's surely played like it in camp. He's hitting .438 (14-for-32) with three home runs, three doubles, seven RBI, seven runs scored and a steal in 10 games. Walker should be considered a top-five dynasty prospect, and his raw power should play in redraft leagues as well once he reaches the majors in 2023.
