Jordan Montgomery To Face Astros Tuesday
1 year agoThe St. Louis Cardinals will start left-hander Jordan Montgomery in the series opener against the Houston Astros on Tuesday, with right-hander Miles Mikolas going on Wednesday. The Cardinals have yet to announce who will toe the rubber on Thursday and are likely waiting on clarity regarding Jack Flaherty's hip injury before making a decision. Flaherty was scratched from Sunday's London game against the Chicago Cubs due to right-hip tightness. The 30-year-old Montgomery has been solid for the Cardinals and fantasy managers alike this year and has been even better in June, going 2-1 with a 1.80 ERA, five walks and 24 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched over four starts. Keep him in your starting fantasy lineups despite a tough matchup against Houston.
