Jordan Beck Sitting on Tuesday
Jordan Beck is taking the day off on Tuesday in D.C. against the hosting Washington Nationals. Sam Hilliard will make the start in left field and will bat eighth against Nationals right-hander Michael Soroka. Beck will take a day of rest after going 14-for-52 (.269) with four doubles, six RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base in the first 14 games in the month of June. The 24-year-old former first-rounder in 2022 out of Tennessee has settled in as an everyday player for the last-place Rockies in his second MLB season and is currently hitting .260/.322/.457 with a .780 OPS, eight home runs, 22 RBI, 32 runs scored and eight steals in 245 plate appearances. If Beck stays healthy, he has a shot at his first 20-20 campaign. Hilliard has one homer on the year in 28 at-bats and will be a low-upside DFS sleeper near the bottom of the order.
