Jonathan Villar Has His First Big Day As A Marlin
Jonathan Villar had his first big game as a Marlin on Thursday, going 3-for-5 out of the leadoff spot. Villar, in the lineup as the designated hitter for this one, hit a home run, scoring a run and driving in two. He'd been struggling a bit in a Marlins uniform, but today's performance moved him up to a .269 batting average and a .718 OPS. His home run, coming on the first pitch in the bottom of the first inning, was his first of the season.
