John Schneider To Oversee All Football Operations
11 months agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider will have the final say on all personnel decisions moving forward now that former head coach Pete Carroll into an advisory role. Carroll said he "competed hard" to remain the coach for his 14th season, but the franchise wanted to move in a different direction. The veteran coach guided the team to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances in 2013 and 2014, including a victory in Super Bowl XLVIII. Seattle was 137-89-1 and have only finished below .500 three times under Carroll. The Seahawks have had a revolving door of coordinators in recent years, and both offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt might not return for the 2024 season, depending on who the next head coach is.
