John Hunter Nemechek has only made one start in the NASCAR Cup Series at New Hampshire during his 2020 rookie season when he finished 36th after a crash. However, he has run significantly better in other NASCAR divisions since, most notably when he won last year's Xfinity Series race there and led 137 laps. However, in that race, he was driving Joe Gibbs Racing equipment and today he will be driving for Legacy Motor Club, a team that does not receive full Toyota support. As a result of both that and his Next Gen inexperience, he only ranks 29th in speed on short speedways this year, one position worse than his starting position of 28th today. Considering he hasn't even had a better average running position than 24th since Bristol, you can pretty much write him off.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
