Jiri Kulich to "Miss Significant Time" Due to Blood Clot
Buffalo Sabres forward Jiri Kulich (ear) is expected to "miss significant time" due to a blood clot issue, according to head coach Lindy Ruff. Kulich has already missed three games while dealing with fluid in his ears, and the team does not anticipate his return in the near future. Ruff remains hopeful that Kulich can still play this season, but that will depend on how his condition develops over the next three to four weeks. Kulich has made 12 appearances this season, contributing three goals and two assists. The Sabres are also without Jason Zucker (illness) in the offensive department, leaving players like Isak Rosen and Noah Ostlund to pick up the slack. Both forwards have joined the top six and skate on the second power-play unit.
