Javonte Williams Could Miss Multiple Games In 2023
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Javonte Williams (knee) could be held out of multiple games to open the 2023 season, according to a source. Williams suffered a torn ACL and LCL in the Week 4 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 and missed the rest of the season. Many fantasy managers expected last season to be the 22-year-old's breakout campaign, but he didn't last very long before going down with a season-ending knee injury. Missing multiple games to open 2023 would obviously cause his fantasy value to drop in the first year with Sean Payton as the head coach. Backfield mates Latavius Murray, Mike Boone and Marlon Mack will all be free agents next month, but Denver figures to bring back at least one or two of them with Williams' status uncertain for the start of the season.
