The Houston Astros will start right-hander Jason Alexander for their series opener in Miami on Monday, according to Chandler Rome of The Athletic. The Astros haven't named starters for Tuesday or Wednesday, but one of those spots could go to Spencer Arrighetti (thumb). The righty is nearing a return after missing four months with a thumb injury. Alexander, who has divided his season between the Athletics and Astros, has made eight appearances (three starts) and stumbled to a 7.36 ERA with a 1.83 WHIP, 20 strikeouts, and 14 walks in 25 2/3 innings.--Connor Byrne
