Jamaal Williams Prefers To Stay With Green Bay
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers impending free-agent running back Jamaal Williams would prefer to stay with the Packers for the rest of his career. "I'm thinking about free agency, but I'd really love to just be a Packer all my life if I could," Williams said. Williams and Aaron Jones, who is also set to be a free agent, combined for 1,609 of the team's 2,118 rushing yards in 2020. With the salary cap shrinking, it's more likely that both backs move on in free agency rather than return to Green Bay. To this point, the Packers have shown more interest in re-signing Jones than Williams. The 25-year-old has 1,985 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns, 4.0 yards per carry and 122 catches for 961 yards and eight touchdowns through the air in his four seasons in Green Bay. He could be a fantasy sleeper if he leaves Green Bay and sees more playing time elsewhere in 2021.
