Jaleel McLaughlin Showing Potential
1 year agoDenver Broncos undrafted rookie running back Jaleel McLaughlin had more than 8,000 rushing yards in his five-year career at Youngstown State, and he showed speed, vision and decisiveness in the no-pads portion of the team's offseason program. He's undersized at 5-foot-7, 187 pounds, but his potential as a runner is clear, especially if he continues to show the same one-cut, foot-in-the-ground decisiveness at training camp. If McLaughlin impresses at camp, he could have a chance to make the final 53-man roster heading into the regular season. Denver has had an undrafted rookie make their roster cutdown in 18 of the previous 19 years. The 22-year-old still has an uphill battle with Javonte Williams (knee), Samaje Perine, Tyler Badie and Tony Jones Jr. ahead of him.
