Jake Rogers Returning on Tuesday
Jake Rogers (oblique) will come off the 10-day injured list to catch left-hander Tarik Skubal in Tuesday's contest against the St. Louis Cardinals. Rogers will come off the IL after playing in four minor-league rehab games with Triple-A Toledo, where he went 5-for-15 with three doubles, five runs scored, three walks and three strikeouts. Now that the 30-year-old backstop is back in Detroit, Dillon Dingler will see fewer playing time behind the dish. Rogers hit a career-high 21 home runs in 107 games for Detroit in 2023 but fell to 10 homers and 36 RBI in 102 games last year. In just six games played before his injury in 2025, Rogers went 4-for-18 with no homers, a triple and three runs scored in 22 plate appearances. While splitting time with Dingler, he'll only be valuable in two-catcher fantasy leagues.
