Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Jake Bean suffered an upper-body injury in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime victory against the Flyers. He got hurt in the second period, logging only 8:55 in the game. With a number of other injuries hitting Columbus' blue line, Bean had started to play a massive role lately, which included minutes on the first power-play unit. If Bean is now forced to miss significant time, Vladislav Gavrikov, who had a goal and an assist Tuesday, receives a further boost, and Marcus Bjork is looking like an interesting option as well. The 24-year-old rookie has started his career with points in both of his first two appearances, and he appears set for a promotion from the second power-play unit to the first if Bean is unavailable.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
