Hunter Henry Open To Anything In Free Agency
4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers impending free-agent tight end Hunter Henry said that he's "open to whatever" when he hits free agency next month after playing the 2020 season on the franchise tag. Henry caught 60 passes for 613 yards and four touchdowns last year, but his yards-per-catch mark was the lowest of his career. He'll likely command a deal similar to the one that Austin Hooper received from the Browns last offseason. The Chargers will have a little over $23 million in salary cap space without Henry in the fold, so they will have room to re-sign him on a deal around $10 million per season. The 27-year-old will be the top tight end on the market, and his fantasy value would be the highest as a TE1 if he were to stay in LA with quarterback Justin Herbert, who was the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2020.
