The Athletics have placed third baseman Gio Urshela (left hamstring) on the injured list, according to Martín Gallegos of MLB.com. He presumably suffered the injury during Thursday's contest against the Los Angeles Angels in which he went 1-for-2 with a walk and RBI. So far, in his first season with the A's, Urshela is slashing .219/.265/.333 through 31 games. He has just three home runs, zero stolen bases, a 5.8 percent walk rate, and a 16.3 percent strikeout rate. Max Schuemann could take over at the hot corner, with Luis Urías and Miguel Andujar also seeing third-base opportunities.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
