Gino Groover Hits First Homer Since Return From Injury
5 months agoArizona Diamondbacks third base prospect Gino Groover (wrist) hit a home run for High-A Hillsboro on Thursday. It was the second home run of Groover's professional career and his first since returning from a broken wrist. Arizona's No. 5 prospect has played just 10 games at High-A so far this season because of the injury. In those 10 games, he has a homer, five RBI, and two stolen bases, while hitting .268. The North Carolina State product is a polished offensive performer with a 60-grade hit tool and 50-grade power. At 22 years old, he could advance quickly through the Diamondbacks minor league ranks assuming he can stay healthy.
