George Kittle Will Play Saturday
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers star tight end George Kittle (foot) will play in Week 16 against the Cardinals on Saturday, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Shanahan said that Kittle felt "great" and will be on somewhat of a pitch count in his first game back since Week 8 against the Seahawks. Hopefully those fantasy managers that rostered Kittle earlier this year hung onto him. The 27-year-old All-Pro will be taking passes from C.J. Beathard in the final two games and could see his snap count limited, but he's still better than the vast majority of tight end options out there. The Cardinals Defense has allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends, including just three touchdowns all season, but Kittle belongs in starting lineups now that he's back to full health. Jordan Reed and Ross Dwelley will revert to backup roles, while first-round rookie receiver Brandon Aiyuk could see more one-on-one matchups.
