Gavin Lux Has More Bat Speed
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers middle infielder Gavin Lux has shown more bat speed after working on his swing mechanics at Driveline during the offseason. Lux hit fewer fly balls in 2022 and finished terribly due to neck and back issues, but overall it was a solid season, as he finished with a .276/.346/.399 slash line, career-high .745 OPS, six home runs, 42 RBI, 66 runs scored and career-high seven stolen bases in 471 plate appearances and 129 games played. Perhaps his better bat speed will lead to an increase in fly balls and more home runs, but at the very least, Lux should provide fantasy managers with a nice hit tool with decent speed on the base paths in his move to the full-time starting shortstop job in LA in 2023. RotoBaller has the 25-year-old ranked as the No. 52 fantasy middle infielder.
