Fernando Tatis Jr. Could Return Soon
6 years agoSan Diego Padres general manager A.J. Preller said on 97.3 The Fan on Friday that shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (hamstring) could be back with the team soon. "He’ll go on a rehab assignment, don’t know when or where but we’ll figure that out after this weekend and we look to see him back at Petco very soon," Preller said. Fantasy owners are surely chomping at the bit to get the rookie phenom back into their lineups. The 20-year-old was handling himself with a .300/.360/.550 slash line, six home runs, 13 RBI and six steals in 100 at-bats before his injury. Manny Machado will move back to third base when Tatis is ready and Ty France will be in danger of being sent back to the minors.
