Fantasy Players Should Not Overlook Christopher Bell For Chicago
5 months agoFor this week's Grant Park 165 at the Chicago Street Course, Christopher Bell qualified seventh. Seventh is a lower start position compared to last year's race at the site for Bell and is the fourth consecutive race he will start inside the Top 10. In Bell's only Cup start at Chicago, he placed 18th after leading the most laps (37) due to a failed pit strategy. After 19 races this season, Bell has three wins, 11 top-10 finishes, and 582 laps led, which is third-most of all drivers. Bell also placed in the Top 10 in both races at road courses earlier this season, including a runner-up finish at COTA. In practice, Bell ranked eighth of all drivers in overall lap averages. The No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota driver is one of the more consistent drivers since 2023 at road courses, with only two finishes outside of the Top 10 other than Chicago. Fantasy players must not underestimate Bell as a great driver to roster in DFS this week for a top-10 finish, especially due to his equipment, overall practice speeds, and recent road course results.
