Ezekiel Elliott Will Play Against Eagles
4 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (calf) will play in Week 16 against the division-rival Eagles, according to a source. Elliott was listed as questionable after having three limited practices this week, but he was a surprise inactive last weekend, which allowed backup Tony Pollard to have a big day (131 total yards and two touchdowns) in the win over the 49ers. Pollard will still be involved on Sunday, but Elliott should be the team's leading rusher against Philly. Elliott had 19 carries for 63 yards and one catch for 10 yards in the Week 8 meeting with the Eagles. Philly's defense has been in the middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing backs this season. Elliott should be considered more of an RB2 during championship week as he makes his return to the field. Those hoping to use Pollard as an RB2/3 will have to look in another direction.
