Emmanuel Sanders Joins Bills On One-Year Deal
4 years agoThe Buffalo Bills are signing free-agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to a one-year, $6 million deal that includes another $500,000 in incentives on Tuesday, according to a source. Sanders was released by the Saints earlier this month in their attempt to get under the 2021 salary cap. He had been scheduled to make $8 million, with $2 million guaranteed. The 33-year-old caught 61 passes for 726 yards and five touchdowns in 14 regular season games in 2020, adding another eight catches for 51 yards in the postseason. Sanders is a two-time Pro Bowler and has appeared in three Super Bowls in his 11-year career with the Steelers, Broncos, 49ers and Saints. He'll compete for targets with Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis and will be another weapon for quarterback Josh Allen, but he's unlikely to create much fantasy excitement unless an injury ahead of him opens up more looks.
