Elieser Hernandez Exits Start With Quad Strain
Elieser Hernandez (quad) exited Thursday's game with a right quad strain, the team announced on Twitter. It's a tough blow for Hernandez, who was just making his first start back with Miami after missing almost two months of the season with a biceps strain. He allowed one run over five innings while striking out six against the Pirates, but that's little cause for celebration as it seems highly likely another stint on the injured list is in his future. Managers should consider him day-to-day until we get official word from the Marlins, but start making preparations to find a replacement for Hernandez.
