Edwin Encarnacion Scratched After Dental Procedure
6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Edwin Encarnacion (teeth) has been scratched from the lineup on Friday after undergoing a dental procedure. Daniel Vogelbach is replacing him as the designated hitter and will bat sixth against Angels left-handed starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs. Vogelbach has come back down to Earth a bit in the last 28 days, hitting just .205 (17-for-83) with 24 strikeouts, but he does have seven homers in that span. The lefty hitter has struggled against southpaws as well, hitting .107 (3-for-28) against them, so he's a DFS fade as he's inserted into the lineup at the last minute.
