Eagles To Visit With Jordan Howard
4 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles are bringing in free-agent running back Jordan Howard for a visit. Howard was a free-agent bust for the Dolphins after playing in just five games for them this year. He was cut three days ago and passed through waivers unclaimed, so he's free to sign with any team at this point. Howard spent the 2019 season with the Eagles, carrying the ball 119 times for 525 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games before getting hurt late in the season. The Eagles are down to three active running backs -- Miles Sanders, Boston Scott and rookie Jason Huntley -- after Corey Clement was placed on the COVID-19 list on Thursday. A grinding short-yardage back, Howard would merely be injury insurance in Philly and wouldn't carry much fantasy appeal.
