Eagles New OC Expected To Call Plays
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said he will continue the practice of having his offensive coordinator call the plays in games. Former offensive coordinator Shane Steichen left the organization to become the Indianapolis Colts' new head coach earlier this week, so Philly is looking to replace him after losing Super Bowl LVII to the Kansas City Chiefs. The obvious and expected replacement is quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson, who has been a big reason for quarterback Jalen Hurts' development over the last couple of seasons. Johnson and Hurts are also long-time family friends, so the Eagles are likely to want to continue that relationship going after Hurts became one of the best QBs in the NFL in 2022.
