Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Druw Jones (shoulder), the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, will have surgery to fix his posterial labrum in his left shoulder, according to farm director Josh Barfield. Jones injured his shoulder while taking batting practice in Arizona shortly after the team made him the No. 2 overall pick. The 18-year-old, who is the son of former MLB center fielder Andruw Jones, will miss the rest of the 2022 season. The good news is that he's still young, and the injury is to his non-throwing shoulder, so Jones should be just fine in the long run. He entered this year's draft with one of the best overall hit tools of any prep prospect. Jones will be hoping to gain clearance from his injury before spring training in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
