DL Hall Slated to Open Friday's Game
DL Hall will serve as the opener for Friday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. A lat strain had sidelined Hall through this past Monday when he was activated from the injured list and tossed 2.1 innings out of the bullpen. The right-hander bounced between opening and filling a traditional bullpen role last year. He showed great length as an opener, averaging 4.1 innings per start in 2024. In total, through 13 games (43 innings) last year, he maintained a 4.48 xFIP, a 45.5 percent ground ball rate, 9.21 K/9, 4.40 BB/9, and 1.26 HR/9.
